Join Sarah to create your very own felt bag using the 3D seamless wet feltmaking process. This workshop is suitable for all levels including  beginners. The workshop will give lots of tips and advice to help you achieve your own stunning hand felted bag.

 

FELT HATS

 

Ashcroft Arts Centre, Fareham

Wednesday 10th February, 2021

 

 

This is a day for learning about 3D seamless felting and the shaping and fulling of hats.  

You will learn how to design, measure and size your template. The incorporation of fabrics and fibres gives interesting surface textures. There will be opportunity to choose the style of your hat. 

This workshop is suitable for beginners and the more advanced felter, however it would be an advantage to have some previous knowledge of wet felting.

FELT TEXTILE ART PICTURES AND SURFACE DESIGN

Join tutor Sarah to learn how to create and wet felt your own unque collage, through a variety of techniques using prefelts, fabrics and a combination of fibres. We will be cutting, layering and mixing the fibres to produce a variety of outcomes.

TEXTILE ART: WET FELTING COURSE

Hampshire Art Studio, Bransbury, Winchester

Taster Day Thursday 25th February 2021 (plus additional Thursdays 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th March 2021

Sarah will be teaching you how to use different fibres, prefelts and fabrics (nuno) within feltmaking. You will focus on design and colour mixing of the fibres, cutting and layering techniques to produce samples and a finished collage.

3D FELT VESSELS

Forest Arts Centre, New Milton

Friday April 20th 2021

If you are new to feltmaking or if you want a chance to push your skills further, this workshop will give you the chance to experiment and learn a variety of techniques. We will look at how the wonderful array of fibres can be used and manipulated to produce a vessel that has wonderful contrast and textures. Sarah will show you how to experiment with a variety of multi layer resists to achieve your final outcome and guiding you through each of the processes. Suitable for all abilities.
